Update on Our #RaceRoundTheWorld

#RaceRoundTheWorld team totals as at 01/01/2020

Just over a week to go, so here’s an update on our #RaceRoundTheWorld Things are going great!

As a Group, since the start of the race, we’ve travelled nearly 1500 miles raised more than £1,365 for Scout Groups in need all over the UK.

How much further can we go, can any team beat Cubs? 9 days to go…..

Here’s some stats:

There are 89 people taking part in the Race from our Group.

The highest amount raised by an individual is in the Cubs section (£161.00), which is amazing!

Even more amazing is that one of our Cubs has walked 96 miles (We suspect that Pokémon Go may be a factor here!!).

One of our leaders has walked a pretty impressive 112 miles too!

Our Cubs have visibly moved the National Cubs team forward with the latest upload (see the image (top right) with almost 300 miles walked between them all in the past 7 days.. National progress can be seen here.

Scouts are the nearest section to Cubs in terms of distance travelled, can they catch up and pass Cubs? (See pie chart to the right).

Moving the needle: Cubs make a visible difference to the #RaceRoundTheWorld national totals

No matter how far you’ve walked or how much you’ve raised, it’s the taking part that counts. And it’s not too late to get out there and add to the totals. It is too late to register for fundraising, but people can still contribute by donating to the team pages if they want to. See our #RaceRoundTheWorld page for more details and links to the fundraising team pages.

The Scouts have a Sprint Day planned for this Sunday (6th December), so why not get out there and enjoy some fresh air while totting up some miles for the race?
