It is very important to the Group Trustees and Leaders that membership of the Group is available to all regardless of their financial situation and that during their membership they are able to fully participate in all the activities they wish to.
There are costs involved in being a member of the Group, these Include regular payments such as subs and one-off payments for camp, event and activity fees. The Group have established a small fund which can help support members in times of financial need.
The Group wishes to make this fund accessible to all members in need of it while maintaining a level of discretion and confidentiality for those seeking help.
It should be noted that this does not alter the joining or waiting list policy of the group which is a separate issue and is constrained by capacity for new members.

Applying to the Group Member Support Fund
In the first instance If you feel you need to access the Member Support Fund, please contact your child’s section leader, a volunteer you feel comfortable talking to or one of our team who help to administer the Fund: Annie Bennett (Group Chair), John Lucas (Group Treasurer) or Dave Thorne (Group Lead Volunteer), Or complete the form below. All conversations around the member support fund will be treated in the strictest confidence.
There are lots of other ways parents and carers can help the group, other than financially, such as joining in fundraising activities and supporting your young person’s section.
The arrangements will be periodically reviewed, but we also ask should circumstances change for the better, you let us know so the fund remains available to as many people as possible.
