We’re looking for adult volunteers for our new Squirrels section we need people to help run the meetings. You’d be part of a small team, ideally every week, but we can be flexible based upon your availability.
Squirrels is a new section for Scouts and we’re really keen to get the ball rolling as soon as possible. Squirrels will meet once per week for no more than 45 minutes. There is a lot of help and support available both nationally and within the group, so you won’t be dropped in it and much of the programme planning has been done already. You’d be working as a team to deliver this programme to what would be the youngest age group in Scouts.
We have a waiting list of people wanting to join, we just need adult help to deliver the meetings. Ideally you’d be available every week, but we can be flexible. Training will be provided too. And volunteering is actually good for you! , It gives you skills for the future, and helps you make new friends (and memories) and makes a huge difference to young people’s lives – gifting them and you with skills for life.
