As a charity we are reliant from donations from the public, parents and local and national organisations. We strive to keep our subscriptions as low as possible, but we do have capital projects planned and equipment costs which we do need to fundraise for.

Repair That Roof
At 50 years young, our hall roof needs some TLC so we can continue to deliver Scouting to just under 300 young people every week. Our amazing hall was built 50 years ago by Dringhouses Scouts, with huge support from St Edward the Confessor Church and the wider community of Dringhouses. The roof, which houses the church’s solar panels saving electricity for the whole site, is in need of repair. Our great roofer, Future Roofs, is beginning work much sooner than we had expected, in the next few weeks!!. We have not had a chance to do much other fundraising for this project so are appealing for help towards the cost of the repairs. This is the first of a series of projects to improve the hall which will include a review of heating, noise reduction and additional storage.

Recycle4Charity
Whether you work from home or just use a printer for personal use, you can help raise funds for us by dropping of your used printer cartridges at the Scout HQ (box in the porch) or in the Church community area. Recycle4Charity is a free, easy to use programme for empty printer inkjet cartridges. A simple way to help the environment whilst raising money for us with each cartridge donated raising up to £2.
