Apologies for the delay in getting this post online, it’s been a busy week or so! Firstly I have some great news about our Aviva Community Fund application. We have been successful in reaching the final for our funding level! All finalists will be judged by a panel and the results will be announced on 16th January 2018.
We are celebrating a wonderful year of Scouting by looking back at some of things we have been up to. In the run up to Christmas you can follow #DringyAdvent on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts, we are DringyScouts on all three! As well as that, we are having a give away on our Facebook page. Every time you share one of our #DringyAdvent posts on Facebook you will be entered in to a draw to win a Group Polo Shirt and Hoody! Good Luck!
In other news, the Group has no purchased 10 Laptops, thanks to the support we got during our time as one of Tesco’s Bags Of Help causes this summer. The IT equipment will allow us to offer some of the new elements of the programme that focus on Digital Citizenship!
Finally I am delighted to say that Annie, our Group Chair has been recognised for hard work with the Scout Group and the Chief Scout has awarded her the Chief Scout’s Commendation for Good Service. Well done Annie!
