An action packed week…

Welcome to my new Blog! So what is it all about? Well I hope that this will be a good way for me to keep you up to date with what all of our Young people have been up to and what exciting things we have coming up!

It’s been an interesting and varied week for our sections. Our Beaver Scouts have been busy building robots As part of the skills and the creative challenge badges, they looked great!

Our Cubs took part in the District Quiz on Satruday, with our packs coming in 4th, 5th and 9th place! They did a great job representing Dringhouses and they even had some fun too.

Our Scouts were busy talking about A Million Hands and discussed social issues including disability, dementia, mental health and resilience and clean water and sanitation. They spoke about which of these projects were important to them and which they would like to get involved with.

This weekend the Explorers took part in Escape, an event organised by York Ebor District, that is open to all UK Explorer Scouts. The Explorers are given 24 hours to get between set checkpoints across the Yorkshire countryside while evading Catcher teams, all while avoiding the worst of Storm Brian.
